What are the most important things in your life?
I’m not talking about the things you want or think you need but the things you wouldn’t want to live without. Take a moment and strip everything away in your life. Remove the peripherals that distract you or things that seem to sometimes cloud your thinking. The things that keep you busy or unsatisfied and just think about the most important things. Maybe those things that keep you busy are also the things that are the most important.
What is something you have or were given that you are thankful for? Imagine life without any of that or the simple things you are able to enjoy each day that are not dependant on others or money.
When we focus on the negative it grows in our line of vision and it makes it harder for us to pay attention to the good things that happen every day. We aren’t able to enjoy the things we get to each day. Sometimes I have these moments of gratefulness overload. It puts things into perspective and reminds me that I have a lot to be thankful and grateful for. When I start to think about it it grows. There are some things in our lives that are monumental but they are also the things we take for granted. The other day a friend and I were thinking about the human body and how magnificent it is in function but at the same time how frail it can be when it is not operating optimally. Any of you who have ever been ill or broken or pulled something in your body can attest to that. Not even being able to use something simple on your body for some reason can create a different kind of experience. Many of us aren’t able to live functioning at one hundred percent but we have at least something we can be grateful for.
To breathe
To sleep
To see
To rest and rejuvenate
To be at peace
Freedom
To move
To go outside
To love
To eat
As you’re reading this you may not have the privilege at this moment to be able to do all of these things but hopefully, there are some and some of your own that you get to do each day. Each thing on the list opens us up to a new way to experience the world and a new thing to be grateful for.
Take some time to think about what you might normally overlook. What have you forgotten about? Focus on how much you’ve been given and let that gratefulness saturate you.
What is something you are grateful for? Let me know in the comments!
I am grateful for the air God created for us to breathe in freely, oxygen in and carbon dioxide out for the plants. The plants produces oxygen for us to breathe in without the mask. Instead of getting in the free oxygen the masks are making people breathe back in the carbon dioxide and this would seriously lead to deficient oxygenation of the blood, respiratory problems, headaches, shortness of breath and a poor heart, lack of proper brain and heart function which leads to death.

I am grateful for every experience alive from the moment I wake up to the moment I am going to sleep. That includes
To rest and rejuvenate
To be at peace
Freedom
To love
